Our Bio PageJackson Shock
Shock is a 6th grade girls team seeking scrimmage games, outside events and additional league information. Contact Darrin at dpruitt@sesports.org
Southeast Youth Sports was founded in 2003, by Darrin and Trina Pruitt, as a means for some local teams to do larger fundraiser's so that they could afford uniforms and travel to events. Over the years we have done enough fundraiser for teams that put forth the effort where the parents were out no money for event fees and lodging. Most of the team have done enough to make the event fees. We have sold food items, carwashes and pounded the pavement selling restaurant coupons and until recently we have hosted Mid America Youth Basketball tournaments in MO and KY.
Our teams have been anywhere from 3rd grade to 8th grade team. Our coaches have been parents and current and former high school coaches. We continue to help teams through coaching and fundraiser's but because of increasing costs of facilities and decreasing profit for the teams have forced us to go back to where we came from. We are always seeking players to form teams, mainly to play during the summer months from April to June or July endings. You can contact Darrin if you would like to learn more.
Currently our home team is Jackson Shock. These girls are in 6th/7th grade (2009-2010). They have been together for a few years now and are always seeking games and events. We cannot make all of the invitations but we welcome the choice. Please let us know about yours.
Over the years we helped teams in basketball and football. We have played in several states and had teams visit us from at least 6 states. we have given money to youth teams, church groups and help many families who would not have otherwise been able to afford the option of travel basketball. Add in the cost of the uniforms, lodging, food, gas etc a child who is active in anything can cost money. This afforded many families a means to get their kids involved.
